With increasing consumer demand for sustainable and eco-friendly production, as responsible primary producers who value our consumers, here at OsGro we have made a significant effort to provide more sustainable products.
Plant diversity is a key when trying to minimise environmental impact and maximise soil health.
Both government and processor compliance regulations on certain farms means that additional to farming without the conventional fertilisers and pesticides, a holistic approach is needed.
This includes using pasture that uses water and nutrient resources more efficiently, and there is a greater emphasis on soil health. This is where the OsGro Absolute Pasture comes in.
The Absolute Pasture range is OsGro’s solution for EcoPastures.
What is the Absolute Pasture range?
It’s a combination of the best in modern science, advanced plant breeding and best practice to provide a pasture mix that is going to benefit soils, grazing animals and the environment.
The Absolute Pasture range includes a variety of pasture seed mixes with a broad range of species which promote natural nutrient cycling and reduce fertility leaching.
All mixes in the range contain deep rooting pasture species that have the ability to remove excess nutrients and provide a range of trace elements to grazing animals.
The high legume content in our Absolute Pasture mixes provides Nitrogen for the soil (and other pastures) and protein for the animals.
